Healthy Homes Letter
We now have until July 1 2021 to achieve compliance under the Healthy Homes Standards 2019.
While rental properties must comply within 90 days of any new or renewed tenancy after July 1 2021, we believe you should target that date to achieve compliance.
You should do this for two reasons:
You won't face time pressure if you get an unexpected notice from a tenant to end a tenancy after July 1 2021.
You won't face time pressure from installers and contractors who will be increasingly busy as the deadline looms.
The required compliance covers: Ventilation, insulation, heating, draught stopping, moisture and drainage.
